Jill Hayssen, MBA
President
Jill Hayssen is President and Chief Executive. She has been head of IHBS since its founding in 1996 when a group of physicians turned to her to start a new, more responsive billing company. She is an HBMA Certified Healthcare Billing Management Executive.
Jill has a formal background in Economics and Business Management. She holds an MBA from the University of Wisconsin.
During the more than 20 years she has spent in medical practice administration and management, Jill has worked with single practitioner clinics, hospitals, and physician groups. Her wide ranging experience leaves here well suited to understand the nuances of the medical billing process, as well as overall clinic management.
At IHBS, Jill oversees the data assembly and analysis and is primarily responsible for timely and meaningful financial statistics for our clients. Jill also monitors each managed care contract ensuring it is practical and financially beneficial for clients.
Jill is a careful observer of the changing dynamics of the healthcare industry. She constantly adjusts the mix of services IHBS offers, in order to strengthen and enhance our clients' practice management operations. Because Jill has assembled a team of highly skilled professionals, IHBS clients can now choose from a full spectrum of medical practice management services from a company they know and trust.

David Demarais, BSN, RN,CRTT
Vice President
David R. Demarais is Vice President and Chief Information Systems Officer. He has served IHBS in these roles since 1996.
David is a registered nurse and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. He spent 20 years in clinical settings as a respiratory therapist, nurse, and hyperbaric chamber operator. David also holds a Certified Coder certificate from the AAPC. He is considered an expert in billing, coding, and compliance issues as they relate to the creation of the medical record, OIG Compliance and HIPAA guidelines.
While working as a hyperbaric chamber operator at St Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, David became involved in the development of medical information systems. Beginning as a configuration specialist for the open-format software Clinivision, produced by Puritan-Bennett, he moved from software configuration and evaluation duties to high level software customization and system maintenance roles.
At IHBS, David’s key responsibilities are to manage the flow of healthcare-related information and monitor coding compliance to ensure integrity of data. He maintains precise methods of delivering the most current regulations to providers.
David’s education in medicine and firsthand experience with applied clinical care and healthcare data management uniquely qualify him to effectively design and create sophisticated Medical Information Systems for our clients.

Sara Krill, MHA, MBA
Vice President, Strategic Development
Sara Krill has been involved with the operational development of a specialty hospital, private practices, financial proformas, business strategy and staff development.
Her experience in strategic planning is in long-term care and medical practices, as well as acute care. In addition, Sara is well-versed in the development and implementation of integrated marketing and sales plans, from concept to implementation.
Sara’s understanding of healthcare from a provider’s perspective adds to the appreciation of the industry as a business.

Richard Lipinski
Recovery Manager
Richard Lipinski is the Recovery Manager at IHBS, a position he has held since 2005.
Richard’s intimate familiarity with medical billing software such as AllScripts Tiger, Medicare Remit Easy Print and Aquarius DMS is his key to the efficient fulfilment of our clients’ special needs. Richard is our point of contact for both public and private health service payers. He fulfils requests from clients for special services such as current balance account file sharing with hospitals and collection agencies and the evaluation of specific accounts for assignment to collection.
Richard monitors the recovery department’s work process with special consideration for compliance with the regulations of the Office of Inspector General. He recently completed a Healthcare Billing and Management Association compliance seminar that specifically addressed OIG compliance requirements.

Rebecca Wyant Berger
Accounts Receivable Manager
Rebecca Berger is the Accounts Receivable Manager at IHBS, a role she has held since 2006.
Before coming to IHBS, Rebecca learned different aspects of medical business practice in clinical and device development settings. She managed medical billing, coding, and regulatory compliance functions and played key roles in the management of clinical trial databases and development of a document control system.
Rebecca oversees the intake, claims processing, payment posting, and customer service functions for IHBS. She balances a keen understanding of human nature and the accounts receivable process. She also leads an assertive work group dedicated to garnering maximum insurance reimbursement for our clients, while maintaining strict adherence to regulatory guidelines and the integrity of the information her group handles.
Rebecca is a natural organizer. She is ready to assist our clients whenever there is a need for an assertive and rigorous approach to managing receivable accounts.

John Croson
Information Technology Manager
John Croson is the Information Technology Manager at IHBS, a role he has held since 2003.
John’s background in information systems ranges from development of software to the design and implementation of multi-server hardware systems. At IHBS John administers our hardware, security applications, database and other business applications. He developed a custom MySQL/PHP compliance reporting web application for IHBS.
John’s deep understanding of the nuances of information technology make him a key component of the IHBS team. John is a technology "jack-of-all-trades" capable and ready to assist when there is the need for effective, economical IT solutions.
